The photos above were printed on March 9th, 1940, in the Calgary Herald. The newspaper was unearthed last weekend at my parent's cabin. LOVE these shots.
Bows were hot in the Spring of 1940, as they are now. Navy was "the big story". What I love about these photos is how clearly they demonstrate the timelessness of great style.
