Which One Is Karl?

The top photo had me (momentarily) very confused.

We're reading Elite Traveler magazine this morning (a totally obnoxious publication) when the hubby says, "This Cavalli guy has some unique style." So I look at the picture - it looks exactly like Karl Lagerfeld. Exactly. Something is amiss.

So I Google pics of Karl Lagerfeld (also above) and show the hubby. Someone at Elite Traveler made a mistake.

Well actually, once we actually READ the text beside the photo we realized it was a Halloween event. Cavalli does Lagerfeld at Halloween.

The hubby WILL be channeling Karl Lagerfeld next Halloween. Love that.

Brights for Bags

Brights are big this spring. Did they ever go away? As a child of the eighties - I'm happy to see fuschia leather again.

The detailing on these bags is amazing - the inside is an well-crafted as the outside.

I hate to use this terribly over-used term, but they really are "juicy".

This Just In: Marc Jacobs Ballet Flats

These shoes are the cutest. Black ballet flats with patent trim and a bow!

Yes, I do find "sensible" shoes, along with the stiletto variety I adore.

Size: 9
Designer: Marc by Marc Jacobs

Oh Grow Up

No more fashions show at home with my grown up girlfriends. I've decided to take this fashion obsession a little more seriously.

It's wardrobe consultation, with a twist. I select beautiful, designer fashion items from my travels and extensive Internet shopping. I then make these items available to members (my clients) to purchase.

Inventory is currently enroute and the very first Fashionista Social Club Event will be held next month in Calgary. Expect beautiful, price-savvy and unique wardrobe pieces. I only purchase one of any item. Almost forgot, everything is priced below retail price!

FSC events are by invitation only and are held at unique locations in Calgary!

Shoe Slave: G Series

www.gothamcityonline.com

Evidently January is shoe month. Shoe-Mojo in high gear.

I like these boots for summer. Light in color, relatively low heel. Maybe a practical boot for Stampede? They might even be comfortable since they're G-series by Cole Haan. I'm hoping. Actually, what I'm really hoping is that they fit around my calves. Fingers are crossed.

But I really didn't buy these for practical reasons. I saw a photograph of a tall and gorgeous model wearing similar boots, faded jeans and a guys white shirt. Hot.

That also might explain the leather jeans hanging in my closet. When am I gonna learn?

More Jeans Please

www.anthropologie.com

I hate how much a decent pair of jeans costs these days. I used to be able to find some gems at Winners but lately it's been pretty slim-pickings.

While in San Fran last week I discovered Joe jeans are a whopping $100 LESS in the US than in Canada. With the dollar practically at par this is a STEAL. Even with shipping charges you still save money.

Best place online for Joe jeans is Anthropologie. They have great selection, an easy website and really fast shipping. They do tack on an extra $30 for Canadian shipping so buy a couple pairs (or get together and order with a friend) to spread out the cost.

I picked up some high waisted jeans last week. Loved them in the store, not sure now. I think they DEMAND high heels. It's nice not to worry about your crack showing though.

Shoe Slave: Going Gidget

I know, I know, I just posted a "Shoe Slave" item. But I'm going South for a week which has me thinking spring. Which leads me to these shoes....

Kate Spade's "Gidget"s are the summer version of the Batwoman shoe. These are cuter. That little wooden platform also makes me taller which I love.

So much for "giving up high heels". I simply CANNOT do it. Don't these SCREAM white capri pants and a gin and tonic? Seriously.
